Jersey Devil here, enjoying this beautiful Spring weather. This time of year make me want to be outside by the grill with lots of good friends and good wine. The perennial problem this time of year is finding enough wine great for a big crowd without spending a small fortune. The obvious solution for this problem is boxed wines (large quantity, good prices, long shelf life once opened) but the obvious wines we have seen in the past have been disgusting box/jug wines that would probably make you blind if you consumed them. However, now more and more great winemakers are taking up the challange of making really good wines in box like packaging. Lets put them to the test and see if we can find any winners out there. Join us on Friday, May 7th at 7pm as we put these wines to the test!!

Don't forget to check out the ratings page for some of our previous wines on the results page, courtesy of our industrious Vice President, Angelo Rosario. Updated every month with the results from the previous tasting because after 13 bottles of wine, the memory starts to get a little fuzzy!

Anyone who would like to join us next month is welcome. All that we ask is that everyone bring either one bottle of wine or $10 to help cover the cost of food, glasses and other needs. Couples are asked to try to bring one bottle and $10 (it helps us focus our efforts).
     For any newcomers, you may be wondering exactly what is the the Jersey Devil Wine Society (JDWS). Well, it is a relaxed wine society that comes together every third Friday of the month (unless otherwise posted) to taste and discuss wines from the specified varietals of the month.  Complementing foods will also be served at each meeting to pair with the wines.
